Ambient - Track 52 - 4 samples - all gentle flute sounds, the bamboo flute sounding the best, not quite up to the sound of a Yamaha VL1 but not bad.

Ambient FX - Tracks 48, 49, 52, 54 & 95 - 21 samples - generally short, gentle sounds, glimmers, ahhhhs, burbles, drones, short tinklings, shorts pads, though those on track 95 are more aggressive sounding. The drones on track 54 are the pick, ideal for space type music or soundtracks, sure I've heard the first sample somewhere, but can't quite place it.

he samples are listed with their BPM, if the samples are presented in the dual left and right format then the sample is indicated as such with a "L/R" on the track listing.

Atmospheres - Tracks 38, 47, 51, 66, 67, 69-73 - 80 samples. There are a whole range of sounds on offer here, designed as the title suggests to provide an atmosphere, there are both natural and synthesised sounds, some of which you might expect to be on a sound effects type CD.

The samples on tracks 38, 47 & 51 are synthesised sounds of various effects such as the sea, rustling, and voices whilst the bulk of the samples are from natural sources (I assume). Track 66 has marine sounds, underwater and dolphin sounds. Track 69 has a jungle theme, 15 samples, of "jungle" noises, monkeys, birds and generally the sort of sounds you might well expect to hear there. Track 70 has rain 10 samples, from Rain to Distant Thunder. Track 71 has bird noise atmospheres, Geese, Seagulls, etc. Track 72 is back to the Swamp and Jungle noises, flies, insects and so forth. Finally Track 73 has river and sea noises, brooks babbling, waves breaking and the ilk.

Lots of quality staple atmosphere sounds, pretty much anything you could wish for either for multimedia, soundtracks or dropping into music, even forming a whole backdrop to an ambient or dance track.

Ethnic Drums - Tracks 28 & 91- 15 samples - an assortment of drum sounds. A little out of place but not taking much room I suppose.

FX - Tracks 68 & 90 - 9 samples -.Couple of bells, smashes and whirrs that don't fit in anywhere else.

Percussion - Tracks - 21-23, 29-33 - 52 samples - A range of assorted percussion sounds here, not your usual kicks, toms and snares here. You get maracas, shakers, bells, finger cymbals, scrapes, rattles, chimes & gongs. Nice variance from the norm, more in tune with the ambient theme of the CD.
