Beatz Diffusion Page 4/4
Summary - Audio quality is very good, didn't notice any noise or artefacts anywhere, a couple of the most powerful loops sounded a bit distorted and their peak, but this could be the intended effect anyway ! Just like the other AMG budget range CD's this CD offers excellent value for money. You get about twice the normal budget CD helping. Having the samples then presented in two formats is even more of a bonus, though in an ideal world it would have been good to have the "gleadall" folder in audio format as well, but you can't have everything. For a live drum loop CD it does cover quite a range of styles and sounds, each of the various sections has a different flavour. Which does make tracking down a loop to fit what your looking for a little more tricky, if your looking for a specific type of loop then those in your range may only be a few. Though that's always the problem with budget CD's, never enough !, though here you do get more than most. Beatz Diffusion is aimed at the computer user and as an early purchase its ideal, it enable the expansion of possibilities of a simple set up no end. More experienced samplists may find the variety too restrictive, though as a "sampler" for the CD's these samples are extracted from it would be ideal. I can certainly see AMG getting additional sales from this range of CD's. The Dave Ruffy samples are the pick for me, followed by the Gota Yashiki and Keith Leblanc ones, many of the others though are sound and there is hardly a duff sample in the collection. Once again excellent value for money, if your looking for a budget priced CD of live drum loops then you can't go too far wrong here. Overall - Great value for money budget live drum loop sample CD - 8/10 Click here to go to AMG's ordering information page. Add your comments about this sample CD
