Summary - Audio quality is generally very good, there a number of samples with a fair bit of noise, a couple that probably makes the sample difficult to use without being buried deep in a mix, hving heavy noise reduction or just living with it. Though putting this into context with the number of samples present its a very small percentage.

For a budget priced CD this is certainly excellent value for money, you get about twice the normal budget CD helping, and indeed some full price CD's have had less content. Having the samples then presented in two formats is even more of a bonus.

The collection covers a very wide range of sounds and genres, even sticking with the "Dance" theme of the collection. As such users may find the actual samples that suit what they are looking for being fairly limited, the nature of the beast with budget collections, even more so when covering material from eleven source sample CD's. But bear in mind that you do get more than most here.

The CD would ideally suit the computer using music maker, looking to branch out from the sonic provisions of their soundcard, an ideal compliment as there is probably not a thing here that could be replicated with the normal General Midi type soundcard. Most of the collection being loops and vocal effects. A more experienced samplist may find the sheer range of samples here a little limiting as those in the target area may be few in number.

The Norman Cook and Pascal Gabriel sections are probably the pick, a couple of the other sections are a bit anonymous, but overall a very solid and usable collection of dance samples representing excellent value for money.

Overall - Great value for money budget dance sample CD - 8/10
