Summary - Audio quality is excellent. I couldn't detect any defects at all either with audio glitches or background noise. There is subtle enhancing sound processing involved throughout the collection but not extreme in the large majority of cases. In particular the packing makes reference to the T:Racks software being used in places.

This is good, solid and usable drum loops CD. If your looking for live drum feel for a track across a wide spectrum of music genres then this is one for you. An ideal addition to your kit bag in case the session drummer doesn't show ! The sounds are clean and tight, and there is an overall polished impression throughout the production. There isn't the bite, grit and edge or sonic manipulation that appears on some of the other AMG loops CD's but of course this style isn't for everyone.

You get plenty of loops for your money, around 430, with about 350 being unique. The loops are very well played and programmed, covering a wide range of musical genres, this is either a plus or a minus depending on what your looking for. If your looking for a specific type of loop then your choice here might be limited, if on the other hand you work with a range of styles it would be ideal.

The loops on the CD do tend to jump around a bit in style making it a bit harder to track down what your looking for, once you've found them though if you can use the CD-ROM version it's a breeze to get them into your track. Some of the variations are a bit subtle, being in processing rather than playing, and a few more fill type variations to help assist the completion of tracks wouldn't have gone amiss, but the negatives for this CD are really very minor.

This CD can really be recommended to anyone who is looking to add a "live" drum element to their tracks, ideally suited to people who want to use a variety of styles within their music.

Overall - Value for money 9/10 - Usability 7/10 - Documentation 9/10 - Sonic Quality 9/10. Solid live and live sounding drum loops cd - recommended - 8/10.
