Titanium Rhythms 2 Page 3/3
Summary - Audio quality is very good. There is the occasional hint of noise in a place or two, but perhaps not surprising where much of the original source material has been sourced from real life rather than a studio. Throughout the collection there is quite heavy application of effects, to extremes in places, I don't think that you'd be looking to do any more processing on these samples in the main The first thing I would say about Titanium Rhythms 2 is that it's an improvement over the original volume, though in a way they do compliment each other to a degree. The overall impression I have of Titanium Rhythms 2 is that there is more processing, diversity and abstractness in the loops and sounds presented. While in the original volume there is more identifiable material that you could imagine as pretty much actual machinery. Depending on the style of track your looking to make may veer you in one direction or the other. Of the samples on offer certainly the loops section will be the most usable and inspirational, if your looking for an industrial type, processed, abstract loop either to base a track on or to layer with other percussive elements then there are lots of diverse and excellent examples on offer here. The loops are totally genreless and if your looking for something out of the ordinary then you may well find what you are looking for here. The other sections of the CD are a bit more varied, the rhythm fx are nearly up there with the main loops, the distorted rhythms will appeal to those looking to create a hard distorted industrial type loop, the hits are fine if your looking for an unusual spot effect or rhythm element, and the soundscapes are varied and you might find an effect you like in there. Like the first Titanium Rhythms I wouldn't recommend this CD as an early purchase, but would certainly suggest it as an excellent source of industrial type loops and hits to add to a sample library. It would be of benefit to many styles of music, not just those looking to make industrial type tracks, not to mention producers of multimedia, games or film soundtracks. If you liked Titanium Rhythms you'll love this one, if your thinking of getting either then check this one out first. Overall - Value for money 9/10 - Usability 7/10 - Documentation 4/10 - Sonic Quality 8/10. Industrial sounds and loops for the masses - 8/10
