Dance/Industrial 2 Page 4/4
So what we have got is 154 loops and a ton of sounds. There are some loops and sounds here for most anyone looking to produce industrial or dance orientated music, some real cracking loops, and only a few I'd describe as weak. Industrial fans are better catered for on this volume than the first, though that doesn't mean the other genres suffer, this 2CD package is pitched in price as a single CD, so that makes excellent value for money. The attraction of this CD is the construction kit approach, you get to hear what the producers think the loop should sound like, and then you get the tools to do your own version of the loop, create variations, fills, replace sounds, whatever, the flexibility is all yours. Even if your not looking to make tracks of the genres targeted here you can mangle, change, corrupt whatever is offered here to suit your needs. This is the sort of CD that begs to be purchased in the CD-Rom version, sampling the individual elements of a complex loop and mapping them is a pain. Not a fault of the producers, just a fault of this type of sample CD, flexibility has a price. As a library CD of sounds the CD is useful, though you'd need to do some work to pull out the sounds you are looking for, as there is space on the CD's it would have been a good idea had the producers pulled all the kick, snare, hi-hat etc. sounds and just had them together after the loops, would have made it much easier to compare and pick the sound your looking for, better descriptions wouldn't have hurt either. Perhaps being too picky here. Overall - Good value for dance or industrial makers - 8/10. For other genres - there is something for you here, but requires more input and creativity to produce results - 6/10
