Summary - Audio quality is excellent throughout and the editing in 99.9% of the samples likewise is excellent. There is some clipping on a number of samples, though I'd have been hard pressed to tell apart from the meters saying so. Nothing that a touch of compression won't sort out. I might argue that some of the samples have a rather long tail to them that could have been cut out, as they're not filled with noise its not a problem, but if your tight on memory you might want to take an editor to cut this space out.

I'm all in favour of collections like this, a small studio you might never otherwise ever hear of has taken an awful lot of effort and work to compile this collection of drum sounds and offered it to the world. What your getting is a wide range of drum hits, both acoustic and machine produced, very well recorded and edited. Almost anyone will be able to make use of the sounds here, especially those who are looking to make their loops just a little different. There are literally hundreds of variations of the main snare, kick and hi-hat sounds from which to choose from.

The question most people reading this will be thinking is "is this collection value for money, when I can download drum sounds for free". Well there are drum sounds you can download, the quality and variety of which you won't be able to find out until you download them. I'd very much doubt though if there is anything like the range or quality of this collection available for free for starters. However where this collection scores though is on price, $35 with a Zip disk you can reuse anyway, so more like $20 is what your paying for the sounds. That's not a lot to pay for all the effort involved.

Overall - If your looking for a collection of single drum hits I'd totally recommend this collection - 9/10.
